Boiler (Hydronic)

Heating and cooling typically accounts for 30 to 40% of your annual energy bill. Next to furnaces, boilers are the second most common heating system in the United States. A boiler uses natural gas to heat water or produce steam, which is circulated through a network of pipes into radiators, baseboard convectors, radiant floors or fan-forced coils.

Boiler efficiencies have been improved with AFUEs of ranging from 84% up to 96%. You can see that with this level of increased efficiency, the opportunity to save a lot of energy is even greater.

Conventional, older boiler systems may only be 60% efficient. By upgrading to a new boiler, you could save considerable amounts of money on heating throughout the life of the new equipment.

The Prestige boiler features a uniquely designed stainless steel heat exchanger and offers 95% efficiency. The Prestige has the capability to modulate the firing rate to 25% of its rated input and is available in 5 sizes; a 60, 110 Stand Alone, 175, 250 and 399. This modulation means fewer cycles resulting in lower operating costs. A smart and equally convenient User Interface Module displays system status and fully adjustable parameter values as well as diagnostic codes for easy troubleshooting and optimum system performance.

An added advantage of a boiler system is you a heat your domestic hot water and eliminate the need for a separate hot water heater. By attaching a "sidearm" (Water Tank) to the boiler system you will be able to heat water with a system that is much more efficient than a standard water tank. A sidearm offers a virtually limitless supply of hot water because of the higher recovery rate of a sidearm setup.

A sidearm water heater is like a combination of a tankless water heater and a storage tank water heater. Sidearm water heaters use the boiler to heat the water. Similar to a storage tank water heater sidearms store hot water around 120-140°F. When a fixture is turned on cold water replenishes the hot water in the tank. The difference with a sidearm is that, instead of having a burner to heat the water in the tank, there are coils in the tank which are heated by the boiler. The coils heat the water in the tank.

The benefit to a sidearm water heater is a near endless hot water supply like a tankless water heater. In addition to that, since there is no vent, there is no heat loss through the vent.

Infra-Red Heat

How infra-red cuts costs

Infra-red heaters cut fuel costs by lower temperature settings - Building heat loss is in direct proportion to the difference between the inside and the outside temperatures. With RE-VERBER-RAY^®, the heat is directed to the floor and not trapped at the ceiling. Therefore, you can lower thermostat settings between 5 and 10 degrees and still maintain desired comfort levels at the floor.

What is Infra-Red Heating?
Infra-red heating emulates the truly inexpensive efficiency of the sun. Like the sun, infra-red heaters generate radiant heat energy that is converted into heat when absorbed by floors, objects and people. Absorbed heat is then "re-radiated" to warm the surroundings through convection.

Comfort & Energy Saving
The popularity of these types of heating systems is a result of two inherent benefits. Gas fired infra-red heating has been proven time and time again to be significantly more fuel efficient than traditional hot air type systems.

Fuel savings of 50% over hot air systems are not uncommon. The other reason for their popularity is the superior comfort levels achieved with their use. Infra-red heaters concentrate the heat at the occupation levels and utilize the floor and objects in the space as heat sinks which reradiate heat to the surrounding air. Hot air type systems deliver a blast of hot air to the floor level that quickly rises to the ceiling. In order to maintain a comfort level at the occupation level, the use of traditional hot air systems can result in extremely high temperatures at the ceiling.

Two-Stage, Residentially Approved* Infra-Red Tube Heater

Re-Verber-Ray^® infra-red heating products are efficient, cost effective and satisfy the heating requirements for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications. Some applications include home garages, patio areas, car washes, loading docks, auto service shops, fire stations, and many more.

The LD Series couples the energy savings of two-stage technology with the highest quality features available. Designed for application into low ceiling or select residential applications, the LD Series heaters are the lowest BTU output heaters offered by Re-Verber-Ray. Features include those found on the LS Series, plus microprocessor controls designed to eliminate nuisance shutdowns with a "soft-lockout" feature. Also, an external LED Self-Diagnostic indicator light is provided to assist in troubleshooting the unit. The benefits of the LD Series include superior fuel economy, comfort levels and equipment longevity.
